Weddings Part Une and Duex

I haven't been blogging much lately even though I have so much that I want to share. I've had not one, but two sisters get married in the past month. Being the crazy, take on too much person that I am, I decided to be responsible for custom letterpress invitaions, flower arrangements, a bridal bouquet, a dessert buffet, and an over the top shower between the two weddings. But that is just me.

All of this is hard enough to do from home where I know my resources and can do a lot of the work ahead of time. My sistuation was complicated by having to travel to Utah and Colorado for the events. In summary I didn't get much sleep, my husband has banned me from taking on projects, and I dropped a ton of money on shipping charges but wow that bridal shower was everything I ever dreamed a party should be!

Congratulations to Jenifer and Stephanie! You make beautiful brides!!

Letterpress Wedding Invitations

Several hours of preparation, 1,200+ impressions, 3 days off work, Jordan's incredible generosity, my husband's limitless patience and 600+ hand trimmed invitations later...

Miss Em

This past week was spent entertaining Emma, our 10-year-old niece from Oklahoma. We ate lots of gelato, went on many long walks to burn energy, and shopped our hearts out at Hello Kitty. This weekend will be spent cleaning up the glitter that has some how mysteriously settled over our entire apartment, relaxing in complete silence, and getting ready for the next group of company. Thanks for a fun week Em!

Special Sunday Edition

Reasons I Love My Mom:
(Just to name a couple)

1 - She makes up funny words when she gets frustrated or mad.
2 - She has a deep admiration for clean lines.
3 - She's really emotionally healthy. She gracefully acknowledges when there is an elephant in the room and you can have the tough conservations with her.
4 - She didn't hate me when I was a teenager.
5 - She loves books.
6 - When you look at her childhood pictures, you can tell she is still the same person.
7 - She has a cute Wisconsin accent.
8 - She made me a Barbie cake when I was little.
9 - She "gets" modern art.
10 - She reads my blog everyday.

Happy Mother's Day Mom!
